She has worked throughout this region of Southern California, from Dana Point to Anaheim and most submarkets in between. She is attuned to changes in market dynamics, up to the minute with competitive sales and values, and in step with operations at the property level. Katy began her hospitality career in Akron, Ohio at the Crowne Plaza Quaker Square. She completed management training at the Courtyard by Marriott at The University of Delaware and went on to hold management roles in Front Office and Corporate Sales at the DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. At both properties, Katy combined practical skills with her foundation in sound analytics to improve operational efficiency and revenue generation; the DoubleTree by Hilton exceeded brand benchmarks for guest satisfaction and realized unprecedented revenue growth during each of her three years at the hotel. Katy graduated summa cum laude from The University of Delaware with an honors degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. She earned an MS in Accounting from the University of Akron.
Katy loves adventure, especially activities like rock climbing, skiing, and skydiving that combine sharp concentration with a surge of adrenaline. She also has a passion for travel, having studied abroad in Australia and New Zealand and visited Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, and Switzerland.
